On 15-17 April NIK President paid a visit to the Supreme Audit Institution of the Republic of Albania.
The aim of the visit was familiarizing with activities of the Albanian SAI and discussion on the possibilities of cooperation between the Polish and Albanian SAIs. NIK President as the President of the EUROSAI Governing Board also presented main goals of the Polish Presidency in the EUROSAI Governing Board. During his visit to Albania the NIK President was received by Mr Bamir Topi, President of the Republic of Albania.
On 14-15 January 2009 the President of the NIK paid a visit to the Office of Auditor General of Sweden in Stockholm.
Representatives of both SAIs introduced their legal frameworks and principles of functioning as well as both recent changes and reforms in progress. Discussion concerned also Nordic-Baltic SAIs cooperation, audits of programmes of professional integration of the disabled as well as audit reporting.
The NIK President presented his priorities for the NIK Presidency of the EUROSAI Governing Board.
On 18-19 November NIK President paid a visit to the Accounting Chamber of Russian Federation.
The parties discussed cooperation between both institutions in, among other things: the realization of parallel audits (for instance the Belarusian-Lithuanian-Polish-Russian audit of the efficiency of border control check-points). The NIK President presented his priorities for the NIK Presidency of the EUROSAI Governing Board. President Stiepashin introduced the accomplishments and plans of the INTOSAI Working Group on Key National Indicators chaired by the Accounting Chamber of Russian Federation.

On 22-23 September NIK President paid an official visit to the Supreme Audit Office.
The main aim of the visit was familiarizing with activities of the Czech SAI - legal framework, relation with Parliament and government. Both President discusses issues related to the quality control, tools supporting audit process and ethic code in the SAO.
