NIK about operation of inland navigation administration in Szczecin

The Director of the Inland Navigation Office in Szczecin did not ensure proper execution of most of its tasks, as a regional administration authority. One of the reasons was staff shortages. Others included employees not complying with relevant provisions of law or performing their duties without due diligence. NIK points out, though, that some tasks could not be fulfilled for reasons independent of the Office, such as the lack of applicable legal framework.
