Delegation of the European Court of Auditors visited Poland and met, among others, with the Marshall of the Lower Chamber of the Polish Parliament, the Minister of Finance and the President of NIK.

The ECA delegation with Tony Murphy at its head visited NIK on 14 November this year and was welcomed by representatives of NIK Management Board led by President of the Polish SAI Marian Banaś.
During the meeting NIK President underlined both institutions’ objectives and the role of the ECA auditing in Poland. He also remarked that NIK was open to continue mutual cooperation and exchange experience.

Tony Murphy referred to Poland’s incoming presidency of the EU Council, highlighting its significance for cooperation between Supreme Audit Institutions. That was the second time the ECA representatives have visited NIK this year.
The ECA’s special report on civil service was also addressed at the meeting (Special report: EU Civil service: A flexible employment framework, insufficiently used to improve workforce management), as well as issues related to the EU Recovery Fund and details of the study visit of NIK employees to the ECA headquarters in Luxembourg the following year.
The ECA representatives also inquired about NIK’s plans on the high-profile conference related to Poland’s presidency of the EU Council. At the end of the meeting, both parties stated they were ready to continue mutual dialogue and to develop their cooperation.
