
Małgorzata Szczepańska has worked in public administration for over 25 years. Since 2005, she has served as a state official. For all this time, she has been involved in creating and implementing public policies on economic development, innovation and European funds.
Before assuming the office of the Director General of the Supreme Audit Office of Poland, she ran the President’s Bureau at the Polish Agency for Audit Oversight where she was responsible e.g. for organisation of the Agency’s work, HR policy, purchase and IT proceedings as well as supervision over administrative processes.
In 2017–2024, Małgorzata Szczepańska was the Director of the Department of Innovation and Development Support Programmes at the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy. She managed programmes financed from the EU funds of over EUR 16 billion, including the Intelligent Development Programme and the programme European Funds for Modern Economy.
Małgorzata Szczepańska is known to be an effective and content-focused manager, competent to administer large expert teams and implement complex reforms in the administration sector. She co-developed programme documents and participated in strategic negotiations with the European Union concerning large investments and aid programmes. She often represented the government in the dialogue with entrepreneurs, academic environment and financial institutions.
She successfully combined organisational and legislative tasks with being responsible for the implementation of the EU funds, the use of which requires special transparency and compliance with the rules of the EU and European law.
Małgorzata Szczepańska is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw. She completed a prestigious programme ARGO Top Public Executive (KSAP – National School of Public Administration /IESE Business School), and in 2025 she gained the Executive MBA degree at the University of Warsaw. She holds the personal security certificate at the “classified” level.
