Civil protection system in Europe

The NIK report concerning the system of civil protection against natural disasters and crisis situations provides examples of good solutions used by other European countries. “We observe a similar trend in each of them” – says Marek Bieńkowski from the Department of Public Order & Internal Security.

According to NIK, the civil protection system in its present condition cannot help in removing consequences of natural disasters. This formation would not be able to protect people in case of any armed conflict. ”The concept of that service is outdated. We should have a closer look at the solutions used by our neighbours” - claims Marek Bieńkowski.
