All Supreme Audit Institutions are aware of the value of experience of their counterparts from all over the world. They wish to built on achievements of their colleagues and to share their own practices, as well. Therefore SAIs gather in international organisations, such as INTOSAI and EUROSAI, and develop bilateral relations, as the NIK and the SAI of Georgia do.

At the meeting in Tbilisi, the Heads of the two SAIs discussed the specifics of the activities of the Georgian Chamber of Control, the changes that have been introduced in the institution since 2008 and its future challenges. Talks were also concerned with the Strategic Development Plan for the years 2010-2012 that has been implemented in the SAI of Georgia in order to make it a modern institution, operating in accordance with international auditing standards.
During his visit to Georgia, the President of the NIK also met representatives from the Georgian Parliament: the Vice President and the Chair of the Budget and Finance Committee. They mainly debated on the position of the Chamber of Control of Georgia and its role in public spending auditing.
