At the time of the NIK audit it turned out that the Police was planning to spend another PLN 15 million to expand the system which proved to be a failure. It was full of errors and in fact did not work at all. Thanks to the NIK inspectors the investment was stopped. ”Before even another grosz is spent from taxpayers’ money a thorough analysis is needed and a decision on what to do next with E-posterunek. We won’t accept another situation of that kind in the future.” - says Marek Bieńkowski from the Department of Public Order and Internal Security of NIK.

The other big project of the Police - Command Support System - was ready on time and it works as it should. The way of its financing is questionable, though. The Police paid for nearly the whole project from its own budget, although it could use the EU structural funds. ”That practice caused our greatest astonishment” - comments Bieńkowski.
