Mobile Auditor

In 2011, all NIK auditors will be equipped with laptops, mobile access to the Internet and mobile phones. They will also have portable printers and sometimes portable scanners. These are the objectives of the Mobile Auditor project that is being implemented in the NIK.

Thanks to the project, auditors working outside the office will be able to send information to audit coordinators, to consult on audit issues or to ask legal advisors for support. It is to improve information flow and communication during audits, especially in the case of extensive coordinated audits in which several NIK Regional Branches are involved.

Access to NIK resources is another advantage of the new system. NIK auditors will be able to use internal databases, for instance legal acts, whenever they need them.

If auditors find it necessary to print documents, they will not have to ask employees of the audited entity to do it. They will not have to go to the office, either, as they will be able to use portable printers to be carried with them when such a need arises.

For almost a year now, the system has been implemented in the NIK Regional Branch in Gdańsk. In the NIK Central Office and in other 15 Regional Branches it will be implemented by spring 2011.
