NIK supports WOŚP Foundation

On 8 January, WOŚP Foundation will play for the twentieth time. The objective of this year’s Finale is to help premies and pregnant mums suffering from diabetes. The money obtained by WOŚP will go to the purchase of insulin pumps and state-of-the-art machines saving the lives of infants.  As part of support of this charity campaign, Jacek Jezierski, President of the Supreme Audit Office, resolved to put up for internet auction unique collectors’ coins minted by the National Bank of Poland on the occasion of 90. anniversary of the establishment of NIK.

There are two coins in the set enclosed in an elegant case: PLN 10 coin with a mirror stamp made from 925/1000 Ag metal, and PLN 2 coin made from CuAl5Zn5Sn1 metal alloy. The auction will last until Monday, 9 p.m.

The previous Finale of WOŚP Foundation was devoted to children with urologic and nephrologic diseases. During that Final more than PLN 47 million was collected. Also at that time, the Supreme Audit Office provided its support to WOŚP. However, WOŚP Foundation does not confine itself to the well-known Finals. During the whole year, the organisation remains active in the health care area on a broad scale, e.g. by implementing Poland-wide medical and educational programmes.
