NIK will audit the supervision of travel agencies

The Supreme Audit Office will soon start an audit of compliance with the terms of providing tourism services in Poland. The decision in that matter has been taken by the NIK Council.

Recently a lot of travel agencies have gone bankrupt and stopped providing tourism services. NIK is particularly alarmed by the fact that in case of travel agencies going bust, the protection of clients using their services is improper or poor. Besides, the aggrieved tourists are exposed to financial losses.

The audit will be carried out by the Department of Science, Education and National Heritage. It will cover the Ministry of Sport and Tourism as well as all the Marshall’s Offices.
