President of the NIK becomes the INTOSAI representative on the IIA’s Internal Auditing Standards Board

During the meeting of the Governing Board of INTOSAI held in Vienna on October 27th, 2011, its members - representatives of all regional groups of INTOSAI - chose their representative on the Institute of Internal Auditors’ Internal Auditing Standards Board. The President of the NIK, Jacek Jezierski, has been elected the representative of 189 Supreme Audit Institutions from all countries.

The Institute of Internal Auditors is the oldest and biggest organization of internal auditors in the world. It creates and promotes professional standards and good practices. The Institute has over 100.000 members worldwide.

Since 2010 the NIK has been in the chair of the INTOSAI International Control Standards Subcommittee. The subcommittee promotes and distributes guidelines on internal auditing standards in the public sector.
