Is it still possible in Poland to build what, where and how you want it? Janusz Laube from NIK explains why the Polish SAI has moved for reorganisation of the construction supervision framework.

Effectiveness and quality of audits conducted by the construction supervision leaves a lot to be desired. Inspectors usually start to act when a citizen notifies them of some irregularities. The whole formation is certainly underfinanced. NIK has identified serious defects in the very supervision structure, though.
