As many as one third of hospitals audited by NIK which bought specialist equipment from the EU funds did not use it as planned. The number of actually provided services was smaller (at times much smaller) than forecasted. Additionally, as a result of currently used purchase procedures in some towns or cities there is a deficit of specialist equipment and in others it is in excess.
