Each Polish citizen returns on average 40 percent of their earnings to the state budget. The government should manage the money for our joint good and we have the right to inquire to what degree it succeeds - reminds us Vice-President Misiąg. The budget audit conducted by NIK every year helps to answer that fundamental question.
The state budget execution audit is the key audit conducted by NIK on a yearly basis. Two documents are developed as its result. The first one is a detailed analysis of executing assumptions of the state monetary policy. The second includes NIK’s opinion on the vote of approval for the Council of Ministers for the budget execution. The President of NIK presents both documents at the plenary session of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland which is held in summer.
