Getting ready for twinning in Albania

Soon, NIK will launch a twinning project devoted to strengthening the Supreme State Audit of Albania, financed with EU funds.

Discussion on details of the project implementation was one of the reasons of Mr Leskaj, Chairman of the Supreme State Audit of Albania’s visit to Poland. He and Mr Kwiatkowski, President of NIK, concluded the talks with signing the joint statement in which they confirmed friendly and professional relations and interest in their continuation. During the forthcoming two years the co-operation will be carried out within the above-mentioned project, which includes a number of meetings, workshops, trainings, seminars and pilot audits as well as joint work on guidelines and manuals.

The Heads of both SAIs  confirmed their personal engagement in the project realisation and provision of any support required to contribute to the effective, efficient, transparent and accountable use of public funds in Albania.
