Since the time of the economic and financial crisis in 2008, cooperation as part of the Contact Committee (CC) has gained significance for the Supreme Audit Institutions. New and planned solutions proposed in the area of the EU economic governance more and more relate to the public audit and often directly translate into the auditing activity of SAIs.
During this year’s meeting, the Heads of the EU SAIs will talk among others about the role and tasks of the Supreme Audit Institutions in the context of the new approach to the EU economic governance. They will also discuss measures to improve the EU accountability. During the seminar devoted to the new economic governance in the EU, NIK will present results of the audit on reliability of data concerning the general government sector deficit and the public debt.
The NIK delegation is chaired by the President of NIK, Krzysztof Kwiatkowski. The CC meeting is also attended by: Wojciech Misiąg, Vice-President of NIK; Jacek Jezierski, Advisor to the President of NIK and Jacek Mazur, Advisor to the President of NIK.
