The National Council for Legal Advisors is the largest self-governing legal body in Poland. In the past years they have got strongly involved in raising legal awareness of Polish people. Campaigns for the public benefit, such as the ”Blue umbrella”, brought the Council recognition of state authorities. The advisors were given the right to represent the public in criminal as well as criminal and tax proceedings, which was identical to the right of lawyers. That was a reward for their long-term efforts.
