The European Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (EUROSAI) is a regional INTOSAI group that includes 36 members - mainly Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) and the European Court of Auditors. Within the organization there are working groups that are preoccupied with several thematic areas. The EUROSAI Working Group on IT (ITWG), headed by the Supreme Audit Office of Poland since 2014, is concerned with the information technologies.
The 11th meeting of the group took place on 2-3 June in Prague (thanks to the courtesy of Miloslav Kala, the President of the Czech SAI). NIK organised the event for the second time. European auditors were informed on the progress in the preparation of the CUBE portal, aimed at the exchange of knowledge concerning audit reports related to IT (Control Space of e-Government). The participants also discussed IT Self-Assessment Workshops (ITSA) and IT Audit Self-Assessment Workshops (ITASA), as well as possible joint parallel audits.
The group headed by NIK summarised what has been achieved so far, and is now facing an ambitious challenge - to set development directions for the conducted projects in a long-term perspective. NIK seeks to formulate the first strategy for the whole group, which would cover the years 2017-2023. The strategy will enable to prepare products that will ambitiously respond to the challenges related to the omnipresent information technologies and the needs of auditors working in this scope. - We are all perfectly aware of how important the information systems are for the public administration and for audits, which are the core of the functioning of our organisations - said the NIK President, Krzysztof Kwiatkowski, who is heading the Polish delegation in Prague.

The Supreme Audit Office of Poland is currently preparing the new website of the group. Its draft version was presented during the meeting in Prague and was welcomed with great enthusiasm. After brief consultations concerning the scope of documents to be published online, the website will be available at: http://eurosai-it.org.
