NIK on clinical hospitals

The potential of clinical hospitals could be used better but the effective law makes it difficult for medical universities and clinical hospitals to keep partner relations. The universities conduct their research in clinical hospitals, use their equipment, hire academic staff and organise internships for students – theoretically paying for it all. In practice, though, the funds granted to hospitals are still too low to cover all the costs and the hospitals end up with medical equipment to repair, bills to pay and debts to clear.
