NIK has noted that construction of the Racibórz Polder, the key investment for the Project, has already started. The Odra River Basin Flood Protection Project still has some delays (which occurred years ago). NIK has also noted that in 2012 the Project Steering Committee verified the costs of all tasks and estimated them at EUR 826 million. At the same time, it had EUR 505 million at its disposal. The NIK audit has confirmed that the Steering Committee adopted plans to obtain the missing EUR 321 million and pointed to potential Project financing sources.
The Supreme Audit Office positively evaluates the way of spending more than PLN 200 million for the Odra River Basin Flood Protection Project in 2012. The money was used in line with the purposes and principles arising from the requirements set out in the procedures of the World Bank.
