NIK President expressed condolences after the plane crash in Indonesia

The President of NIK, Krzysztof Kwiatkowski, conveyed condolences to the Auditor General of Indonesia, Moermahadi Soerja Djanegara, with regard to the passenger plane crash into the Java Sea off Jakarta.

Krzysztof Kwiatkowski expressed his deepest sympathy: It was with great sadness that I heard about the tragic event that took place in Indonesia. In these painful moments, I pass on our deepest condolences and express my solidarity with the families of the victims, on behalf of my own and of all employees of the Supreme Audit Office of Poland.

NIK and BPK have been closely cooperating since 2008. Five specialised seminars were organised since then, regarding, among others, money laundering, fight with corruption, ethics code of the state auditors and communication policy. In 2013 NIK was appointed by the Indonesian Parliament to conduct a peer review at BPK. In 2014 President Krzysztof Kwiatkowski presented the final report and BPK commenced to implement the recommendations.
