NIK President and Prosecutor General decided that coordinators would be appointed in regional prosecutor’s offices. They will be informed by district prosecutor’s offices and NIK Branches of reports on a crime sent from NIK. Such information will make it possible to provide required support to district prosecutor’s offices.
In all NIK Branches in Poland as well as in the NIK Headquarters, NIK President will appoint legal advisors responsible for everyday cooperation with the Prosecutor’s Office, particularly in terms of supervision over the quality of crime reports sent from NIK. The legal advisors from NIK will focus on cooperation with prosecutors - coordinators in regional prosecutor’s offices.
Special training programmes in developing reports of reasonable suspicion of a crime will be organised in NIK. The first training of this type is to be conducted on 19 December 2013 by Sławomir Górnicki, Deputy Director of the Preparatory Proceedings Department of the General Prosecutor’s Office. It will be addressed to all directors and deputy directors of NIK branches and departments.
Both parties also agreed that the General Prosecutor’s Office would monitor all proceedings conducted based on the reports coming from NIK.
