Report on NIK activity

At the plenary session of the Sejm, NIK President Krzysztof Kwiatkowski presented the Deputies with the report on NIK activity in 2014. “Our effectiveness is increasing” – the President said. 36 of NIK’s proposals to change the law were implemented - in part or in whole - in the Polish law system in 2014. This is nearly a half of all submitted proposals – almost 20 percent more than in the previous years. Nearly 50 percent of adult Poles gave NIK good and very good ratings. Only 14 percent of respondents had an opposite opinion. From September 2013, NIK’s positive ratings went up by 16 percentage points. The ratings of NIK are not related to the respondents’ political views. “The supporters of all political options rate NIK in a similar way” – added Krzysztof Kwiatkowski.
